Disillusioned. I have never written a review before. This is my first. I placed my jewelry order early December and they 'broke' my stone (or did it go somewhere else more profitable??). It is now late March and they have yet to make it right. They offered me a much, much inferior stone (several grades lower) as comparable. I did not accept it. I will not be returning.

love them!. love this jeweler. i've never had a problem with them. my engagement and wedding band, as well as my husbands were bought at egon's. and i have been back to purchase more jewelry since then!

We love Egons. I am so shocked by the two previous negative reviews on here. My family and many people I know have been customer's of Egons for YEARS! We have never had an unpleasant experience there ever. And if there ever was something that needed to be corrected, the staff has always bent over backwards to make us happy. The fact that "disgusted" says that they were liars is crazy...it sounds like they completely disclosed the situation to her and were honest and were willing to send it to be fixed! She's probably the type of customer that has a problem EVERYWHERE she goes...never happy. They have unbelievably beautiful quality for the best price in Syracuse. I've purchased pieces elsewhere on an impulse and never been as satisfied as I am with Egons. I have a few pieces picked out for Christmas for my husband to get and I can't wait to see that beautiful Egons box underneath my tree!

By Far The Best Jeweler. Not only a great jeweler but part of the community too. My whole family shops there as well as my friends. I don't know what those other reviews are about but if you read between the lines I'd say they have anger issues. Can wait for the holidays, I have something beautiful already picked out.

Worst Jeweler in the City!. Brought in $1,995 diamond watch to have battery changed on my birthday so I could wear it to dinner. I live in FL but grew up in CNY and knew that this was the best jeweler in the city - wrong! Watch worked before handing it over to clerk. The watchmaker never saw the type of watch I had but proceeded anyway! The salesclerk kept saying it will be a few more minutes! The watchmaker admitted to me he never worked on this type of watch and took the back off anyway and could not get it to start! He also admitted my watch worked before taking off the back. Mr. Ehrlinspiel was out of the office. I waited over 2 hrs for him to return. Salesclerk kept saying don't worry, if we damage it we will make it right. Next thing I know it was noon and the manager watchmaker told me before saying anything else to me "why did I bring my watch here if it worked". I said I brought it in for a battery - batteries on watches need to be changed every two years or they corrrode. Why did you break it and what are you going to do about it? Mr. Ehrlinspiel said he was going to call the police! What an attitude this place has! The nerve to talk to me like that. I was not the aggressive one, it was his staff. They took my watch and said they had to send it out for repair and would mail it to me in FL. This would not have happened if the person just did not touch it in the first place! Big mistake going to this liar! Beware of this so called jeweler. I totally agree with the reviewer before me, they are deceptive and blame the customer. Total bad experience. They made me cry on my birthday and broke something sentimental that cannot be replaced! Do not use this jeweler, they have trouble setting diamonds and other stones and cause a lot of heartache. I saw 3 people come in the time I was sitting there all with complaints! Save yourself the heartache and go somewhere else!

Horrible. As a doctor, I pride myself in treating others properly. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Egon. The manager was the most deceitful individual that I have ever dealt with. Not only did I waste my time at the store, but he lied to me and attempted to overcharge me for an engagement ring. Buyers beware! Shop elsewhere if you want a safe and satisfactory buying experiencing.
