Framefixers
Apparently I am not the only one duped
by Framefixers.
I sent a $400 pair of Flexon and magnetic clip-on sunglasses for repair. This was in June. Numerous calls promised that they would be shipped that day but that never happened.
The shame of it is that they made a pair of clip-on sunglasses for another pair of glasses and they could not have been nicer people to deal with.
It just goes to show you that you can't trust anyone and basically, some people are just no good.

I pay, they keep the product.
Situation: Sent in $600 glasses for repair. Called to check when I would receive the glasses back and was told they would be mailed that afternoon.
Me: Happy as a clam, thinking I can resurrect something I thought was irretrievably broken after I decided not to bother the arrogant Cartier customer service again with a problem I had with one of their products. How could one of their products possibly have any problems? (But that's another story)
Time: Does what it does best. It passes. 6 weeks of it.
Me (again): Now worried (as a clam?). That the glasses may have been lost by the shipper, that is. So I leave a message to request a tracking number. Not an angry message, mind you. Just a message. And again. And again. You get the point. After I week I get someone on the phone.
Person says "If you hang up on me, I will never call you again".
Me: Speechless
Oh, I did get a tracking number. UPS doesn't recognize it.
Glasses: Who knows?
Fraudulent! Poor Service. Thieves!.
My problem is that I sent a pair of Prada Frames and prescription treated lenses valued at over $525.00 to a company called FrameFixers for repair of a broken hinge in the beginning of the summer. The company charged me $58.50 for the repair. Weeks went by and I did not hear from them.
I called after about 6 weeks and was told that they were waiting on a part. A later call a week later produced the part is in but they were trying to locate the tray containing my glasses so they could make the repair. A later call another week later produced that the glasses were fixed and set to be mailed out that week. A few days later I called for status and was given a tracking number for the USPS. The tracking number was invalid. Next went several months worth of calls back and forth where I was told the shipping company was trying to locate the package and that they had never lost a package before. After almost 2 months had passed I was told that the package had been located by the shipping company and they had neglected to put the last line of the address on the package. They were going to ship the glasses back to the company and FrameFixers would FedEx the glasses back to me.
I waited 2 weeks without a package. Subsequent calls produced no answer. I left message after message, week after week. Now here in November after continuing to call, I received a voicemail message from a blocked number that said that they had discovered my glasses in one tray and the lenses in another tray and were going to put them back together and send them too me.
I left a return message concerning the fact that what was all the information prior about packages being not addressed correctly? Since then I have not been able to get through the line. It has been weeks.
A crook and a thief. That guy is taking our glasses and our money. Don't send your glasses to them. I have made complaints at the BBB for upstate NY and with Angies's list.
DO NOT SEND YOUR FRAMES TO THEM.
I sent my eyeglass frames to them for repair about 3 months ago. I still have not received them after numerous phone calls. They told me my glasses had been shipped and they would call to give me a tracking number. I haven't heard from them. I am out $600. Not only that they had the gall to charge my credit card, which I disputed.
DO NOT SEND YOUR FRAMES TO THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!
