43.041281 -76.119198Metro lounge great for SU. I think that the owners have the right Idea, just a little pricey for my taste. I love the fact that Nottingham has thier reunions there every year. Of course it is owned by Alumni. If the brought their prices down a bit it would be a little better for everyone.
Second Try. I wrote a long review about my negative experiences with Metro Lounge that was honest and accurate but for some reason was taken down. All I will say is- do not go here. The alcohol selection is poor, the service is terrible and the staff is disrespectful and rude. The people that make your sushi are sketchy. Do yourself a favor and try one of the several other local sushi spots in Syracuse and the surrounding area.
need's more work. I love sushi, and this is not the place for anyone who loves sushi. The place is very well done as far as the look is concerned but the product does not match the environment . One thing I noticed right off the bat, there are NO Japanese people to be seen anywhere. I thought I would give it a chance anyway but the sushi reflected the lack of culture. The fish was not fresh (slightly discolored at the edges), the rolls were loosely rolled making it hard to get it to your mouth in one piece, the rice is not seasoned correctly and it menu is WAY over-priced for what you get. The service was nothing stellar, sushi plates piled up on our table and were only collected when the bill was dropped. If you love sushi, this is not the place to go - try Ichiban where a REAL, live, Japanese person who knows what they are doing places beautiful, delicious pieces of sushi in front of you. i will give it another chance someday hope things improve.
Nice lounge in the Westcott neighborhood. Classy lounge, cheaper than downtown, and really nice staff. You can usually find a seat, although it does get a little crowded. Mixed crowd, very fun atmosphere, and great for groups. There's also live music on Fridays and Saturdays, which can be a bit too loud for conversation. It definitely makes dancing fun though!
