Great Breakfast. Well, I finally made it here. Everyone wrote about the pancakes but I had the S.O.S. (aka creamed chip beef), and it was very good and the home fries are awesome!

yum,. I love this place so much, ever since the first time i had their large pancakes. It feels like i'm either going to my mom's or my grandma's without the bickering. This place is wonderful and i wouldn't ask for anything different, but maybe to get bigger place.(:

Maybe Syracuse's best breakfast!. Mothers Cupboard looks like a shack on James Street just off Thompson. They close at 1:30 PM daily. You enter and the decor promises you nothing fancy. The menu is standard fair. Then the food comes. Made fresh at the grill feet away from you. I ordered pancakes they are about 18" in diameter, Larger than any pancake I have ever seen and fresher than anything your mom or my mom can whip up. It was 3.95 and would be a bargain at double the price. I recommend this place to anyone that loves good food and better yet those that like offbeat places.
