Wished I liked it better. I was a guest here last year and was brought to this establishment by a long-time friend. I have to say I was impressed by the service, the atmosphere, the decor but not the food. I'm sorry. I had the lamb that was on special and it was very greasy and unpalatable. My host spent quite a bit of money entertaining me and I was disappointed I could not rave about the meal. I'm now a resident here and was looking for a place to bring my visiting stepmother but I cannot bring her there for the food. Maybe we will stop by for dessert and coffee though.

ten years never had a bad meal there.. I've eaten at Santangelo's for over 10 years now at least twice a month and usally once a week during the winter months. I have NEVER had a bad meal there and they have the best filet migon that I've ever had and I've eaten at many restaurants. Their house balsamic dressing is to die for and the wine list has never left me wanting more.

Disappointed twice!!!. We were referred by our realtor when we first moved to liverpool/syracuse, referred by the hotel we stayed at when we first got here, and later by others. However, my husband and I went within our first weeks of relocating and were completely shocked that we were disappointed! Solely disappointed by the food. The place was crowded, atmosphere was nice, servers friendly and professional but the food was not great at all. THEN the hotel we were staying in gave us a little gift - a $75 gift certificate to santangelo's for some minor inconvenience with the room - so we went back - and, again, the service was great, wine was good, it was busy but a nice place - however, the food was really not great at all. I actually ate about 1/4 of the appetizer and less than that of my meal. We skipped dessert and stopped for ice cream on the way home! We will never go back - I truly wouldn't pay for Italian food that I can easily make better and cheaper at home.

Best Restaurant Around. Santangelo's is the best restaurant around. Friendly staff, great service, great food. It is always busy, so make a reservation. The newly remodeled bar is awesome and always a good time in there. Love the new patio. It's like being at home.

Great food. Santangelo's is simply a great restaurant. It is owned by a family that really cares that their customers have a good meal -- and it shows! Giulio Santangelo is a talented chef, and their kitchen is first rate. The decorations inside change with the seasons, and are always lovingly done. Home made chocolates are always available near the checkout (and are always fresh). The food is first rate. Try it, you'll like it!
