i just had the worst haircut experience here. i went in for a trim of thick shoulder length layered hair. the lady asked me if an inch was good and i said yes. first thing is she wet my hair with a spray bottle and did not bother to wash it. so that meant she cut my dry hair. during the five minutes she spent on cutting my hair there was more concern for the conversations between the other emplyees behind us and the interuption by the front desk employee alerting my "stylist" she had a client waiting. there was no effort to style my hair. and i left with at least 3 inches gone and uneven layers of hair everywhere. it looks like i have 3 different hair styles. i seriously wanted to cry. it has been 3 days since my experience and i still feel horrible. i need to go somewhere else to have this fixed but i will lose all of the length that i have spent over a year trying to achieve. all i know is i well never return. ever.

Concepts in hair is one of the best salons in this area when it comes to client satisfaction. I get my hair cut and colored there every 5 weeks. So these woman who claim their hair was "fried" did you tell your stylist about all of your previous chemical process? Because not once in the 15 years I've gone there has that EVER happened. Frank has put together an amazing group of people. The salon environment is friendly and inviting. My hair always looks like a million bucks when I walk out of there and yes my hair is still very healthy. Don't listen to these post!! They are full of crap! Go in and get a hair cut by anyone of those girls and you will be head over heels with it and them!!!

Worst haircut ever!. I had passed this salon several times since I moved to the area and it looks like a nice place on the outside. Don't be fooled! I came in to have a trim and walked out looking like a five year old cut my hair. The hairstylist I saw was very unprofessional, yanked on my hair, complaining about how much of it I had, and even complained about her coworkers to me. She wouldn't even waste the energy to blow dry my hair straight so I could see what it looked like! I almost walked out after she washed my hair,and I have regretted not walking out for over a month now. I used to have hair half way down my back. After my "trim", my hair is barely shoulder length and she chopped my layers sloppily and the shortest layers are shorter than chin length. I am waiting at least 2 months to get it fixed because it is humiliating how short and terrible it looks. If you are self-respecting and like your hair, save yourself the humiliation and go to a good salon.

Unacceptable!!!!!!!. My daughters hair is ruined. Boohoohoo, this is so serious that I really don't know what step to take first.

They KILLED my daughters hair!!! The stylist left the bleach. They KILLED my daughters hair!!! The stylist left the bleach in her hair for three hours & kept adding bleach & putting it under the dryer. My daughter showed me the next day & it was all dead & falling out. Her ears are all burned & red with rash. I'm waiting to see if they r going to fix it & refund our $. My daughter is only 14 yrs old. Poor thing. When u go to a salon, u expect them to know what their doing. This is so uncalled for. Someone please help us.

Awesome Salon!. I have been bringing my teenage boys here since they were 3 and 4.... at first it was the deal ($5.00) ... you can't beat that. Then we kept coming back because they were really happy with the cuts ... sure they have had a concern or two over the last 14 years but that was them not telling the stylist exactly what they wanted. My entire family comes here now (all 5 of us)... my daughter and I make a fun day of it with our cuts and highlights...

My stylist Felicia has fixed more than one bad color or cut that I have had from other salons... I will no longer go anywhere else.

As with any service; ask for what you want and find the stylist you are most comfortable with. You can't go wrong!

terrible place to get hair cut. I had long hair and wanted a couple (2-3) inches off, some older dark haired woman sat me down and grabbed the SHEARS... yes i said the SHEARS, and sheared off about 6 inches of my hair.

I was so shocked i didn't even know what to say.

I have never, EVER heard of shears being used to cut a womans hair - and i definitely did not want or expect it.

When I asked her what she was doing she laughed and said it was her "trick" to speed things up since they were very busy.

First of all, it was not my problem that they were busy - hire more staff, or inform people there is a wait, don't ruin MY hair because of it! That is the most repulsive thing for a person in the customer service industry to say.

Now that there was nothing i could do, i realized that the 6 months I'd spent growing out my hair were pointless, and the ends are all jagged and completley uneven.

seriously though WHO USES SHEARS ON A WOMANS HAIR?!

i'm absolutely disgusted at this place, i wish it would shut down so noone would ever have to go through what i did.

please any ladies out there, listen to me and do not go to this place - its dangerous if you love your hair like i did

horrible. I have had a sries of really bad haircuts in this place. so bad when i went to super cuts to have it fixed they laughed at me and said you must have gotten this cut at concepts of hair. i said how did you know, they said its not the first time.

Enjoyed my visit. I recently was a client at the Concepts In Hair salon in Liverpool and I have no complaints at all!!!

I have recently moved to the area and the prices are what drew me into the salon. Upon arrival i was greeted warm and friendly by the staff. I had a color/cut/eyebrow wax done and am completely satisfied with all!!!!

Kudos to this salon for providing such amazing services at such amazing prices, especially in todays economy !!

I will be returning and suggest that anyone men and women start going to this great salon!

Maybe good for men, but women BEWARE!. I went here because I am new in the area, and they had a coupon in the pennysaver. My first experience I had highlights/lowlights and a trim. The highlights bled through the foil causing splotches of light blonde on the front of my scalp. Not pretty. I called and they had me come back and they fixed it, free of charge(gee, thanks). Stupidly, I decided to give them another shot. This time I had a different hairdresser, and I went in for a root retouch. Instead of asking me what color I used, she just wisked off to the back, and mixed up the color. 30 minutes later I was bleach blonde. NOT a match to the rest of my hair. She added in some lowlights only to the top of my head, and it looked terrible. I had a dark blonde halo around the top of my head. Not only that, but I showed her a couple pictures of a haircut I would like, and instead of actually adding in layers like the picture, she hacked off 2 inches of my hair straight across. HORRIBLE! I paid them, went home and wrote an email to the owner, Frank Barletta. He responded early the next morning and said I would be contacted by the end of that day and that it would be corrected. I was never contacted, and I emailed him that night letting him know. He said come in Friday and he'd look at it, not bothering to ask if that is convenient for me, or anything like that. I had an event to attend that Friday and I didn't want to go with ridiculous looking hair, so I called the salon, told the person in charge what happened, went back in and they tried to fix it. They added lowlights, and toned it to get some of the gold out. In the salon it looked better, and the girl fixed my cut as best she could, but it still is not what I asked for. However, now my ends are grey, and the top is gold. I am just fed up. And the owner never bothered to apologize, refund my money, or even have the courtesy to call me and see what he could do. The only person who acted like they cared was the girl who tried to fix her co-workers mistakes. I am so furious!!!!! Do not go here! Spend the extra 50 bucks and go somewhere else!!!
