Awful fat little troll. This shop is run by a fat, rude little midget. She is nothing more then a pathetic townie that has never left her little town. If you are a true fisherman and respect the sport make the trip next door and support honest and local fisherman and business owners.

Not for Cry Babies. The people that "get it" are completely satisfied. It's the people that want something for nothing that are the cry babies and bad review posters. Dawn Rucando is not the kind of woman that's going to give up her information easily. You're gonna have to pay for it somehow with either:

1. lodging 2.guiding or 3. buying tackle/gear/bait

It's pretty simple.

Rudeness for FREE!!. I saw a sign for fishing while visiting Pulaski for my son's football game. The next day, after talking with a friend, I found out that there was some good fishing up there. My husband recently recovered from a total shoulder reconstruction (after injuries sustained in Iraq)and was finally ready to fish after 8 months of recovery. I thought I would surprise him and my boys by driving up there to go fishing. We packed our gear, stopped and bought some heavier tackle, and headed to Pulaski. On the way, I used my phone to google the regulations for salmon fishing (to make sure we didn't violate any laws) and the only reference that kept coming up was this 'Yankee Fly and Tackle' site which had wonderful information about fishing, lodging facilities, boat tours etc. Excited about all the leisure opportunities, I called the number and spoke to Dawn. I first asked her about restrictions for fishing in the evening. She was extremely rude and told me I should refer to the place I got my license from. I said I didn't get the regulation booklet when I renewed my license. Then she asked me if I had bought any stuff from the place I got my license and I told her yes. Then she got upset and hung up on me. I was utterly shocked. So I dialed back and tried to explain that I was interested in lodging, etc. and she said that she was "so annoyed" and hung up again.

I guess if you don't purchase your fishing gear from her (even though when you call you are not aware she has a store that sells gear), you are not welcome anywhere near her--much less have the privilege of her nasty conversation on the phone and then being hung up on.

I looked up her site and see how she claims to support military (which my family is), and makes a dozen other claims about the great service, blah blah blah.

Don't even call unless you want your whole family to be upset by the absolute RUDE, HARSH, AND NASTY behavior of this money hungry woman who obviously has no business sense whatsoever. Our vacations and our money will be spent at ANY of the other businesses in the area. We love to support local small businesses, but when I called, I did not know about the large fishing industry in Pulaski--I was simply trying to gain a little bit of information--shame on me! Don't worry Dawn, I'll let ALL of my friends know they aren't welcome.
