Not worth the trip. Went there for our anniversary on a Thursday night in January having heard so much about the place over the years. We had reservations for 7 PM. Not crowded when we got there and mostly emptied out shortly after we ordered. We felt like they were trying to rush us so they could close. Wait staff inattentive/arrogant. I had soup that tasted like water with vegetables in it. Entrees were so so too. We didn't bother ordering dessert since it was obvious they wanted us out of there! They even locked the door that would take us directly to our car and made us walk around the building! We went down the road to the Sherwood for a drink (it was next to impossible to get more than one drink at Rosalie's so we gave up!). Next time we will stay in Syracuse and eat in "Little Italy". Better food, service and much more convenient.

Good food, expensive. We had a party of 7, spending over $400. Good service overall, but some points of meal were too slow. We had a birthday celebration, but the hostess hadn't told the server, so we had to do this awkwardless. Noisy space. Smaller portions than we recalled. Quality of food is very good. Steaks perfect. Menu is so vast - too much detailed description for every choice, making our selection process difficult. (Feels a little arrogant for average folks like us.) Table size was adequate, actually a bit too big, making it difficult for conversation - wonder if this contributes to the noisy atmosphere. Bathrooms are down a long flight of stairs. Parking poor.

Napa in the Finger Lakes. One of the few places in the area that could just as easily be found in Napa Valley. The menu mostly stays away from Italian-American in favor of real, regional Italian that is nicely prepared. The staff is friendly but a little scripted. (We really don't need to know our server's name and don't need to be told that the dish of olive oil on the table is for dipping.) Yes, there always seems to be a wait for a table but compared to many nearby restaurants, it is refreshing to find out that it's worth waiting for.

great food. Food is very good. Have to wait a very long time for a table. Not a good place to wait if you are going as a couple and want a quiet, romatntic diner. They favor big parties for fast seating. Large portions, but, you pay $$$ for it. Generous portions of wine at the bar while you wait for a table for 2 hours.
