Amazing beer, great food and good atmosphere. I'm not even a beer drinker, but I love the stuff they have here. Their menu is incredibly varied and everything we've tried in three visits was beautifully done. The service is good, though you have to wait on your own table sometimes. The only time we had an unpleasant time was one night when we were there with our son and someone had a screaming child (NOT a baby--the child was probably four or five!) in the next booth the entire time we were there. With nowhere else to sit, that sort of thing should become the management's problem after twenty minutes by my watch.
Best Beer Selection in Syracuse. The Blue Tusk is the best place in Syracuse for a pint after work. My wife and I have enjoyed sampling some great local beers from Middle Ages and Southern Tier Brewery among others at Blue Tusk on several occasions. During happy hour, a well-crafted pint goes for $4--a good bargain for the quality selection. Blue Tusk is also a good place for an inexpensive light dinner or lunch as you order at a counter and pick up the food yourself--avoiding the extra cost of service. The cheese plates and salads are great options. During the summer, snag a table outside to people-watch in the Armory district. My favorite beers are Middle Ages Wailing Wench IPA and whatever seasonal the Southern Tier Brewery has sent over.
