Awesome Food. The prime rib sandwich is to die for. The macaroni salad and the catfish strips are also some of my favorites. The place is very crowded at night and you can expect a wait time of more than an hour. The wait staff can be rude, but I think it's part of the biker bar atmosphere. Overall, if you have time to stand around and have a beer or 4 while you wait, the food is definitely worth it!

NOT FOR VEGETARIANS !. If you r a vegetarian DON'T COME!!!!! The atmosphrere is ok but if you have a headache or easily get them don't come to Dinosaur Barbeque please!!! The food is average & the portions are huge They take original foods from all over the world and put their own twist on it. If you like pie then come here for the famous sweet potato pie !

Lost a step. When my friends came in from out of town, I could not wait to take them to Dinosaur. I actually had a sense of community pride in the place. However lately, the quality of the food has gone down. It's still pretty good, but not worth the ridiculous wait, the "attitude" from the waitresses, and being rushed off your table to accomodate the masses. Even my roomate who comes up from Boston once a year just to make me take him their commented that we may want to try someplace new.

Best ribs in NY. Dinosaur BBQ is an old biker bar, and it definitely shows. Although you'll be waiting forever on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night to get a table (they don't take reservations), the food is always guarenteed to be amazing. Some nights, they also have live music. It's not only renowned for its ribs, but the chicken, pulled pork, and their side dishes are also extremely tasty.

Also, it's one of the few places to get a good mojito in Syracuse.

Good Bar & Average Food (maybe a little below average). Dinosaur BBQ is not a bad place for Central NY; having lived in Texas for many years it is difficult to remain unbiased when it comes to REAL BBQ. The BBQ joints in Texas are excellent, prepare, and serve authentic Texas style BBQ. I have also visited St. Louis and the Carolinas and sampled the BBQ from these areas. Each style has its own virtues. To Summarize: For a small city in Central New York, the Dinosaur BBQ is OK. They get an "E" for effort and a C minus for food and service.

One of the best BBQ joints in the whole country...including the south. Dinosaur has it all for BBQ. There is nothing on the menu that anyone can talk smak about, but rather smak their lips at as soon as it hits the table. Amazing food, great blues music all the time, and really fun staff makes this restaurant/bar a must see for anyone in the area and even those not in the area. Make your way here and you will not forget it.

Pork Pride. After eating Carolina Barbecue for the past three years, this ranks up there with the best pork ever. The brisket is decent, but go straight for the excellent pulled pork or ribs and their delicious tender smokiness. My wife had the chicken once, but quickly returned to the pork--our favorite is the pulled pork sandwich with cheese--a masterful combination. Wash it down with a cold pint of Labatt's or Syracuse Ale. If you have one meal in Syracuse, eat it here. And don't worry about the line, it moves quickly!
