Industry, the best salon in Syracuse hands down!!!. I have been getting my hair and eyebrows done at Industry for about 4 years. I have always been extremely satisfied with the results I get there. I have been to a majority of the stylists, and theyre very personable and innovated; theyre always onto the newest things in hair and I have always left there feeling very satisfied with my hair and eyebrows. Not to mention, having Bumble and Bumble hair products only adds to my overall satisfaction with the salon. I'll never go anywhere else!!

Expected Much More. Went in thinking that this place would be great for special occassion hair (something that didn't look like a prom updo), as this was my 2nd time as I was so pleased by my haircut with Amanda. Ended up getting Jayme and she was negative from the start, saying that what I wanted prob wasn't going to turn out how I thought (Half up, messy w/ big curls) Told her my hair didn't hold curl well and that rollers might help. She ignored all of my comments and threw it half up with a ratty look to it. My girlfriend was with me and wanted hers half up as well. She told her that I don't want yours both looking the same "So I'm going to do more of what she wanted but I didn't do." Neither one of us were happy, even after I asked her to fix mine. Left there feeling like I could have done better myself and made us completely late after she took almost 2 hours to do both of us with not much hair.

Ok cuts, if you are not looking for anything complicated or specific. I have had my hair cut at this salon by a few of their hairdressers. They have all been average but none of them have done a great job on my bangs. If you have straight hair and need a quick trim, I would recommend it, other than that, I would go somewhere else.

Nice Place w/ great talent. I first started going to A.J. (Amanda) when she worked at Douglas Alan Salon. I must be honest and say I was not thrilled about going downtown, but I did. Truthfully A.J.'s salon was much nicer & more comfortable. Industry is nice and modern but not comfortable at all. I have always liked going to A.J. because I feel like she really does care about my hair. She does my color and always puts a gloss & some sort of special conditioning treatment on it (depending on what she says my hair needs). When she cuts my hair she always does a great job. She is very honest as to what she thinks my hair needs and what will work best for my hair & lifestyle. I have referred some of my friends there they all like her. The only thing most of them say about her is that she doesn't really talk to you too much. Personally I never really minded. I'd rather her concentrate on my hair then idle chit chat. The only other thing I don't like is that all they sell there is Bumble & Bumble stuff. I think allot of these reviews were pretty harsh and maybe you either weren't going to the right person or maybe you didn't express exactly what you wanted or allow them to do what was needed. Bottom line for me...After leaving my appointment with A.J. I feel and look great, so no matter where she is I will go and spend the money because great hair is priceless....

mmm....not so much. I have been in the Syracuse area for almost a year, I have finally found the right salon for me. Industry is NOT it. I went here 2 times to have 2 different stylists do my hair. I thought it was trendy and a cool place to go, it's not. Mediocre at best. A total rip off for the style and service you get. I did like the 1st girl who did my hair, but she is gone from there. I think they just through in some random people to care for the customers. It was a bad experience going back. I will recommend Liz Lanza's. Finally a place that is cutting edge modern with an excellent staff!

Not impressed at all. This salon always felt cold to me. I came out with amazing hair but to get it I sat through fights between owners and stylists, and many moments full of tension. It was ridiculous..Its a business and it should have been more professional keeping personal issues private. It wasn't worth it to keep going. It gave me anxiety rather than a relaxing few hours away from the kids.

The Industry. I've been going to this salon since the day Matt and Brian opened up. Since then I've moved back to the city (NYC not Syracuse). This is a great salon for someone in a small city like Syracuse. I utterly disagree with the poster above re: their demeanor. Matt and Brian seem to think Syracuse is the metropolis of New York. Throw this average salon into a real city and what you have is just anther average hair cut mimicking about 100 others that waltz through their door.

In fact most women come out with the same cut and color at The Industry regardless of who is doing their hair. What I found incredibly disheartening was the fact that matt and Brian refuse to donate their heavily priced hair extensions to Locks of Love, a charity that provides hair/wigs to young cancer survivors.

Aweful service and terrible skills--avoid. We recently moved to Syracuse, and having never lived around the city it has pretty much been trial and error as we find places to shop, eat, etc.

When looking for a good salon you should avoid Industry at all costs, the staff is rude. My stylist Jamie butchered my hair to the point I question how she earned her licence to cut hair AND to top it off she gave me an attitude like she was all high and mighty-almost as if it were my fault that she screwed up. I wouldnt trust this girl to cut my dogs hair.

Best salon in syracuse!. My name is Kristiana. I had just moved to Syracuse about 1 1/2 years ago, from Delray Beach. A neighbor of mine recommened industry to me after I had trouble finding a good stylist. I am so thankful for such a good neighbor, this salon is wonderful. First I was able to get in for an appointment despite the fact that my schedule is so busy. The receptionist was wonderful and was so patient with me and was able to schedule me in within 2 weeks. My stylist ,Michelle, was so amazing. I had asked her about updating my look. I wanted to keep it modern, yet proffessional and she did just that. She knew exactly what I wanted without even looking at a picture. She also showed me styling techniques and ways to do my hair that I could do myself. The entire staff was so friendly and personalable, you got the feeling that they love what they do. Another wonderful thing about the salon is that they carry Bumble & Bumble products. I have used Bumble & Bumble religiously for 4 years and I was so relieved I wouldn't have to resort to my sister shipping me products. The atmostphere of the salon was great as well, very modern & contemporary. I would definitly recomend this salon to everyone.
