I've just ordered a remote carstarter installation on Wednesday and I was told the certificate would be in the mail the same day. It was intended as a birthday gift today. the card did not come in and I was told that it had not been mailed. I hope when I come in for the installation the service is better than what was promised to be in the mail. I have missed a very important day for gift giving.
Great Work – They do a good job, not always easy dealing with third party parts and these guys go above and beyond to make sure there customers are happy. Had Window tint, remote starter and window rain guards in my Cobalt. Good Job Guys
Horrible – I just graduated from my undergrad program and bought a brand new car. Since I'm attending Grad school out in Buffalo I wanted to save money so i bought a car without all the bells and whistles. Bill Rap recommended that i take my car to Installations Unlimited to install automatic locks. I figured if I have to install automatic locks, might as well install a remote car starter too! They were able to fit my car in after leaving it there for a week. I then moved to Buffalo to start my next degree. Upon arriving in Buffalo I noticed the wires they installed had already fallen out. They were able to fit me in when I returned home from a break.. Two months later I noticed my automatic locks were no longer working. I called and scheduled another appointment, they fixed the Actuator and sent me on my way. Again, my automatic locks AND now my remote car starter was no longer working correctly. I would get locked in my car, locked out of my car, I couldn't lock my car, therefore I had to clear out anything that was of value anytime I left my car. I brought it in AGAIN to get fixed and yet again they fixed the actuator. Not even two weeks later, after it being repaired my locks stopped working. Considering every time my locks stop working I have to travel two and a half out it is getting very annoying to deal with them considering they are not replacing the equipment that apparently is faulty. I am extremely disappointment with the service and their "repairs"

These Guys are PROS – I recently brought my Mustang GT in to have the tires and rims upgraded. As this was not an inexpensive project I spent a considerable amount of time asking questions. The saleman, Matt, not only answered every question with a thoughtful response, he learned quickly that I was a layman and, instead of taking advantage of me, he instead slowed his presentation and focused on providing information in easy-to-understand terms, always offering both high-end and mid-range options.
I finally made a selection and they did a great installation. My car looks incredible and I am 100% satisfied. In fact, I'm bringing my Mustang back for a performance upgrade.
I highly recommend Installations Unlimited to anyone looking for quality after-market work.
Car install – I recently had some after market parts put on my truck from IU and after our first rain i go in my truck to find that the whole ceiling had leaked into my truck and soaked my interior and ruined some of the stuff i had in my truck. I would definilty not recommend them as they did not properly seal the product to the roof. BOO IU!
Terrible customer service, no support for their product, not interested in your needs, just what they can sell no matter what the cost to the customer – My first dealings were with a car starter on my car, we were the last people waiting for my car, the store was closed basically when we left, I was instructed any problems with the car starter I had to call them, not the dealer. Not even a year later, the car starter broke on a Saturday night at 6:00 when the store was closed, there was no support, my car was beeping and I could not start it, I was stranded. When I called on Monday, they asked me to bring the car in, the car was immoblized because it would not start. Then my husband and I bought trucks, my husband paid up front for 2 tonoa covers and a set of runner boards for my truck. They never called to schedule an appointment to put my cover and runner boards on, so I called and made an appointment, when I showed up the wrong cover came in for my truck, so I had to make another trip and get that put on, they blamed it on my husband even though when he called in they said "no problem", we have the correct size, they did not, they put the runner boards on as high as the door jam, making my clothes dirty when I stepped out, I could not use the runner boards, they said I could upgrade for $200 more or go to someone they have to make brackets because they had another couple with the same problem, when I asked for the phone number for the vendor that the running boards came from they would not give it to me, said they could not call them because I was getting my clothes dirty from the way they were mounted on truck. The invoice states that you can return your item within 10 days, with a receipt and box, they installed the runner boards, THEY threw the box out, I did not have it to return the running boards in...there is nobody there that wants to talk and listen to your problem. They are willing to work with you if you spend more money with them, I bet there are more people out there like me, totally disatisfied with nobody to complain to and get a suitable answer from or customer service.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE 2008 – I had a remote car started installed 11/07, it was installed promptly and had no problems. I then had some issues with the remote that I dropped and broke. The replaced it, I paid for the replacement, but I must have gotten a bad one. they replaced that one for free, then that one must have been bad, they again replaced it, for free, then, I still had some problems they just redid the whole system under warranty. They were wonderful, the customer service is impeccable! They told me that if I had ANY problems come in, any time any day & they will try to make it right. They seem to be striving for excellence. I would highly highly recommend them for all my aftermarket needs, plus they sell TVs and sound systems, so I would consider checking them out, next time I am in the need for a TV / Sound system for my home. I am VERY Pleased with this business and after I get done with this plan on writing a letter of thanks to the manager for the awesome customer service.
Terrible Customer service - shop around before giving them your business – I regret not shopping around before purchasing a remote car starter from installations unlimited. Not only did they never contact me when my car was finished, or to ask clarify what options I actually wanted... I requested my car be left outside with the keys locked in them for a late pick up (I went on my lunch break to pay for it), even told two different people, and watched one write it down for me. Well needless to say the idiots did not leave the car outside and when I left them a message saying I was not very happy about and for them to call me back, I never heard from them. When I had to waste another lunch break to go pick up my car, they then gave me false information about the car starter saying that I had options that I didn't, and then when I went back to complain about the options not working, they then offered to "give me a deal" of 10 dollars off an outrageous price because of the mix up. So now I am very dissatisfied, they have done nothing to help the situation, and I refuse to pay for the extra options I would like because I don't want to give them anymore business. Needless to say I will never be shopping there again. Please do the right thing and bring your business to a place that will actually value it.
