Syracuse >Joseph Anthony & Co
Great Razor Haircut - NYC Style. I really like having my hair done by Aaron; she is a master stylist and knows how to give a edgy razor cut which is exactly what I was looking for. This technique is not the easiest to learn and I have found it almost impossible to find someone who knows how to it here in Syracuse...I think many 'professionals' here are basic trained and never go further in learning cutting techniques. I give this place two thums up and am really glad I walked through the doors.
I usually have a hard time getting my hair cut right and this place does it right nearly every time. I also get my eyebrows waxed here and they do that very well. They are a little pricey, but you definitely get your money's worth.
In regard to the other review, I've never experienced that from them, but then again I always am clear about what I want done. If you want your hair done right at any place, you need to know what you want them to do in advance. Everyone's hair is unique (trust me, I know - my hair is aweful for places to get looking halfways decent) and the more descriptive you can be about your hair, the better chance you'll get what you want done on it. That's true regardless of where you go. As I said, they've always been extremely polite and friendly to me. I don't know what would cause what the other reviewer claimed.
Avoid getting hair done here. Horrible experience from beginning to end! I get my hair done a couple times a year so I don't mind spending the money on a great job, in which this was not the case! I like to experience different salons and thinking Joseph Anthony is expensive enough I assumed they would do a really great job. Almost every associate was very rude and when I asked to speak with the owner or manager after my hair was ruined she was the most innapropriate and unprofessional of them all.
